According to a Saudi media report, this new package would allow residents to participate in the Day of Arafat, the pinnacle of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The plan targets expatriates with legal residency in Mecca as well as Saudi citizens, offering them a more affordable option, reported Al Watan newspaper.

This information was revealed in a report by a Saudi media outlet, highlighting the government’s efforts to streamline the pilgrimage process and enhance the overall experience for the attendees.

The Day of Arafat holds immense religious significance in Islam. It is a day of repentance and supplication, where millions of Muslims from around the world gather at the plain of Arafat, praying and seeking forgiveness from Allah.

Being able to participate in this holy event is considered a blessing, and with this proposed package, the residents of Mecca will have an opportunity to be a part of this spiritual congregation.

The proposed package is a low-cost offering, making it accessible to a wider audience. However, it’s important to note that this package is not open to everyone. It specifically targets expatriates who hold legal residency in Mecca and Saudi citizens, as reported by Al Watan newspaper.

This restriction is a strategic move to regulate the number of attendees and ensure a smooth and orderly conduct of the pilgrimage.

This initiative by the Saudi government reflects their commitment to uphold the sanctity of the Hajj pilgrimage, while also addressing the practical challenges associated with managing such a large-scale event.

It is a step towards a more organized and inclusive Hajj experience, ensuring that every attendee, whether a local resident or an expatriate, can partake in this holy journey with ease and devotion.
