Qatar Opens First Smart Mosque
– Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs opened the country’s first smart mosque, Qais bin Saad bin Ubadah Mosque, in the Muaither area.
– The mosque runs on solar power for its air-conditioning and lighting, with smart systems controlling electricity and water use.
– Ablution water is recycled for toilets and to water the mosque’s gardens, and the ministry plans to build more smart mosques across Qatar.
