QATAR – An espionage company involved in submarines has been closed by Qatar, Dahra Global.

Foreign media reported that 75 Indian nationals, most ex-Navy personnel, will retire on 31 May from Dahra.

Because of Qatar’s employment terms and conditions and work visa regulations, most Indian nationals will have to return home.

As a result of the detention by Qatar’s intelligence agencies of eight ex-Indian Navy personnel working for Dahra Global in senior positions last August, the company has been in the eye of the storm ever since.

In addition to these eight Indians, Dahra has also fired them.

In this case, the Qatari authorities are believed to have electronic evidence that links the arrested former Indian Navy officials to Israel and that they should face the death penalty.

This case will be heard on 3 May, when their charges will be revealed.

A super-secret project involved building stealthy midget submarines based on Italian technology.

As a result of the developments, sources have confirmed that a new company, Advanced Services and Maintenance (ASM), is taking over Dahra’s assets, including office buildings, contracts and non-Indian employees.
