Pilgrims should declare Valuables at their Arrival in Saudi Arabia to avoid any consequences.

In the recent outlines issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, it has been stated that any individual entering the Saudi Kingdom for Umrah or Hajj purposes must declare any valuables exceeding SAR 60,000.

This statement of declaring valuable items includes any foreign currency, jewelry, gifts, and electronic devices.

As per the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, these regulations are being implemented to ensure security and transparency at the airport. These steps would remove all security issues and would safeguard the interest of not only the nation but the travelers as well.

The rules as stated by the Ministry will play a huge role in maintaining order in the country and are integral to maintaining compliance with international standards.

Thus this effective monitoring of currency and valuables can prevent illegal activities for instance smuggling and money laundering on the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

Added to this it will foster a sense of accountability and will result in smooth functioning at the airport during operations.

It has been strictly stated by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah that not adhering to these regulations will result in severe consequences that include delays, fines, and even confiscation of undeclared items. Thus pilgrims need to go through the requirements and regulations before travelling to Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, to ensure that the declaration process moves smoothly, customs officials at airports will be employed to assist the travelers. It is advised to approach the customs officials upon arrival to ensure an efficient process.

Thus by adhering to these regulations, Umrah travelers will contribute to a safer process, enabling them to start their spiritual journey with peace of mind.

The declaration must be made via a customer declaration form which must be filled on both arrival and departure.

Moreover, special assistance has also been arranged to make the pilgrims understand the form and complete the required documentation properly.

As per the Ministry’s statements, these requirements and regulations will prevent theft like money laundering issues which are increasing these days.
