- Additionally, Ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that lying is wrong, whether serious or in jest. (Sunan Ibn Majah 46).

If sharing one’s salary could lead to harm, it’s okay to keep it private. One can refuse to share the exact amount politely or give a vague response. The goal is to avoid lying while safeguarding personal interests without going against Islamic values.
