As per the recent news individuals from the European Union, United Kingdom, and the United States who have permanent residency can now go on the Umrah or small pilgrimage without applying for a visa in advance. This news was confirmed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
This decision was taken to improve the Umrah procedures and ensure quality services are provided to the pilgrims. This rule would enrich the religious and cultural experience of Pilgrims and will align with the vision of 2030 planned by Saudi Arabia.
In addition, eligible individuals can arrange their Umrah pilgrimage either through the Nusk app or complete it upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the Saudi kingdom made it easier for residents of these areas to visit for Umrah or tourist purposes by imposing a visa on arrival. This privilege applies to first-degree relatives of the visa holder as well.
In addition, residents of these countries can also obtain an Umrah transit visa when traveling on a Saudi Arabian airline, making it easier for Muslims worldwide to participate in this important religious activity.
