24/7 medical services will be provided at the Grand Mosque by the Makkah Medical Complex.
Visitors to the Grand Mosque can access top-notch medical care around the clock, thanks to three emergency centers run by the Makkah Medical Complex.
Emergency Centers Inside the Grand Mosque
These centers are strategically located on the first floor of the King Fahd Expansion, at Saudi Riwaq, and near the Ajyad Bridge at Al-Haram.
Three emergency centers within the Grand Mosque operate continuously to cater to urgent medical needs:
- Grand Mosque Emergency Center No. 4: Located in the Saudi Corridor on the first floor, near Ajyad Bridge.
- Grand Mosque Emergency Center No. 1: Located on the first floor of King Fahd Expansion, near Gate 88.
- Grand Mosque Emergency Center No. 3: Situated in the Saudi Corridor near Bab Ismail, adjacent to the funeral prayer hall.
The Makkah Medical Complex works closely with the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to ensure pilgrims receive excellent medical care and health awareness services.
Advanced Life-Saving Technology
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, has deployed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at key locations. These devices significantly improve survival rates in cases of cardiac and respiratory arrest by delivering controlled electric shocks to restore normal heart rhythms.
- AED Distribution:
- 5 devices at the Grand Mosque’s main gates.
- 5 devices in the circumambulation area.
- 5 devices in the third Saudi expansion area.
Pilgrims can easily follow clear audio and visual instructions for operating the devices, ensuring timely intervention during emergencies.
These efforts are part of a comprehensive plan to maintain the well-being and safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
The General Authority and the Ministry of Health have launched various awareness campaigns to keep pilgrims informed about health and safety practices while they perform their rituals.
This collaborative approach aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for all visitors to the holy sites.
