This incident has been called an utter disrespect to the premises of the second-holiest site in Islam.
The identity of the person for whom this protocol was arranged remains unclear, and the General Presidency has yet to provide a clear explanation regarding the incident.
Such protocols are typically reserved for high-ranking officials, such as presidents, prime ministers, or Saudi royals, who often visit to offer prayers at Riaz ul Jannah.
The recent sighting of Indian Hindu politician Smriti Irani within the premises of Masjid al-Nabawi, which is restricted to Muslims, has further fueled the controversy.
Muslims are calling for accountability, demanding respect and adherence to the sanctity of the Prophet’s Mosque.
