India: Muslim Auto Driver Forced To Break Fast After Attack During Holi

A Muslim auto driver, Khan Mohammed Kadir was fasting when a group of men celebrating Holi forced him to break his fast as they threw water and colors at him.

The incident took place in Thane district of Maharashtra in India on March 25, 2024.

As per the report, Kadir picked female passenger from Kalwa and was on his way toward Kharegaon.

As he was passing through the Kharegon Naka area, four to five unidentified men stopped his auto rickshaw and threw colors at him. Upon telling the harassers that he was fasting, they did not listen.

Making the situation more intense, they also broke the windshield of Kadir’s auto. Women passengers also pleaded with them to let Kadir go. but the attackers made him break his fast.

Kadir also complained about the incident at Kalwa’s police station.
