MAKKAH – Authorities in Mecca have licensed 166 buildings for Hajj pilgrims of 2024
As the Hajj preparation starts, authorities in Mecca have licensed 166 buildings that have a total of 26,710 rooms to accommodate around 1116,697 Muslim pilgrims in the next Hajj season which is estimated to start in June 2024
This is a part of early preparation for the annual pilgrimage and the Hajj housing committee will be accepting more applications for the buildings until next month. The ongoing Registration of the building is expected to surpass the total number of 5000 buildings in the holy city.
To get the building accepted for the residential purpose of Hajj Pilgrims, the committee has asked the owner of the buildings to get their structure approved by the engineering offices and ensure that their building meets the required terms
It is worth noting that around 2 Million pilgrims performed Hajj in 2023 and it has been predicted that even a larger number of pilgrims will be performing Hajj this year
As the situation is completely back to normal after the pandemic, Saudi Arabia has revealed new rules for the Hajj season and has stressed the need for early preparation.
As per the Saudi Minister of Hajj, Tawfiq Al Rabiah, the places for countries will be reserved on a first come first serve basis. The country that finishes its contract early will get priority in choosing the best places at the holy site
The Authorities suggested countries start their preparation for the Hajj 2024 to ensure high-quality services and hassle-free process
It is also worth mentioning that the Hajj visas are planned to start on March 1st and will End on April 29th, 2024. The first flight of Hajj Pilgrims will reach Saudi Arabia on 9th May 2024, the first Dhul Qaidah
