Loan/Debts can be very bad. These are one of the things that are the biggest cause of Suicide and stress as well as depression.

The debts can kill you! If not paid on time, they pile up and get worse. In Islam, overburdening anyone with Debt is prohibited.

And it is stated that the person who forgoes the money someone owes to him is rewarded highly on the day of judgment. And loan/debt has made even worse when the element of Interest is included in it, which is causing a lot of Suicide when one feels that he/she would not be able to pay it.

Jami’ At-Tirmidhi states that a man was in debt so he came to Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA), and seek his help to pay off some of his loans. So he taught him this dua, which was taught to him by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
