This dua is essential for a person because in this he or she is asking for Allah, Prosperity, safety, and Imaan throughout this year.

Muharram is observed as a sad month because of the martyrdom of famous personalities such as the family of Prophet Muhammad PBUH who were brutally martyred in the battle of Karbala. This month has been widely observed by Muslims all around the world to show respect to Prophet Muhammad PBUH’s family who had stood against Yazid’s army to save Islam.

Fasting in the month of Muharram is also considered to be sacred, especially fasting on the 9th of Muharram and the 10th of Muharram as it is the day of Ashura. There is a timeline of the people who lost their lives for Islam but never bow down in front of Yazid’s army, which was totally against Islam.
