Rumors are spreading that Pakistan’s iconic artist and singer, Atif Aslam, is about to quit the media industry. While he was being interviewed by Hamid Mir (Capital Talk) on Geo, the 37 year old artist stated that rumors are about to widespread concerning his exit from the Music industry of Pakistan.
He said that this topic, concerning his decision, is his personal matter. However, he wishes to stay close with the religion while he is still living in this temporary world. As he mentioned, he will be giving up completely on the music and would highlight the main factors of religion through it as he served by reciting Tajdar-e-Haram and 99 names of Allah.
He feels content on knowing that the youth just not only listen to his work but are also being impacted and transforming themselves accordingly. However, as he claimed, he isn’t leaving music yet.
His recitation of Adhaan, which got widespread on the internet when the lockdown was recently imposed in Pakistan, was his long-awaited wish. He actually wished to recite Adhaan at the Holy Kaabah, within Makkah.
He also shared his teachings and mentioned that during times of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), the locals used to recite Adhaan from their rooftops. This act is behind the inspiration of those people who are now observed doing the same in this lockdown period.
He also talked about his recent performance, Asma-ul-Husna (i.e. the 99 names of Allah), that he made on Coke Studio which got rife in the world.
He added that daily, we are indulged in different kinds of activities; some are sins though some appear to be virtuous ones. And, he appeared to be lucky to perform Tajdar-e-Haram and fortunately, also worked on Asma-ul-Husan, that became a massive hit and impacted the lives of many followers and listeners.
