Direct, non-stop Haramain train services now run between Makkah and Madinah Al-Munawwarah. The journey takes 2 hours and 15 minutes.
These express trips skip the stations along the line, so travellers going only between the two holy cities do not sit through stops at Jeddah or King Abdullah Economic City.

A second non-stop route connects King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah directly with Madinah. Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) is promoting both routes as “Express Trips without stops” and is inviting passengers to book tickets now.

The Haramain High Speed Railway covers 453 km and runs at speeds of up to 300 km/h. The line has five stations: Makkah, Jeddah (Al-Sulaimaniyah), King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Economic City and Madinah.
