Visa validity for Umrah Pilgrims increased.
Regulations for Umrah visas have recently been updated. As per the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the visa deadline has been extended. As per reports international pilgrims will now have to leave the country by Dhul Qidah. These changes are due to the upcoming Hajj season.
The extension in visa will facilitate a smoother pilgrimage process. It will help those who are traveling to the cities of Makkah and Madinah.
The validity of the Umrah visa has been extended to a month. This validity is from the date of issue. This is a change in the policy. Previously Umrah visa’s validity period started upon entry into Saudi Arabia.
This update has been announced after several queries were raised on social media. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hajj are preparing together to ensure the visa validity doesn’t exceed Dhul Qadah.
Also, the ministry has issued a strict reminder regarding the Umrah visas. As per the ministry, this visa is only for pilgrimage purposes. No one is allowed to use this visa for employment or other activities. Individuals who misuse the visa will get strict punishment.
These revisions in policy demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s commitment to improving pilgrimage management. Pilgrims are also advised to respect the visa conditions and are requested to immediately leave before the visa expires.
