Saudi Arabia has expanded its transit visa to now allow travelers to perform Umrah and visit the Rawdah Sharifah in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al Nabawi) with ease.
This update aims to facilitate religious activities for visitors passing through the kingdom.
Travelers can avail themselves of this opportunity by following straightforward steps.
Firstly, they need to apply for a transit visa via the Saudi Visa Platform at ksavisa.sa. Once approved, travelers can choose any Saudi air carrier for their journey.
The benefits of this transit visa are manifold. It is available immediately and free of charge upon flight booking, valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and permits a stay of up to 96 hours. Additionally, it allows for freedom of movement between different cities within Saudi Arabia.
To fully utilize the transit visa for religious purposes, it is essential for travelers to obtain the necessary permit for Umrah and prayer at Rawdah Sharifah. This can be done through the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps immediately upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
This initiative enhances convenience for travelers wishing to engage in religious activities during their transit, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating pilgrimages and religious tourism.

Every human has the right to do umrah, holy places is not saudi government property, it's Allah's property and every Muslim from allaround the world has right to perform, Haj or umrah.
Unfortunately, both holy places are in Saudi Arabia and Saudis just want to generate money through these religious places, in another words get advantage of it, not every Muslim can afford their demands as they just want simple umrah the way it's describe in Quran.
As we know what happened this year on the Haj time, all saudi govt need to focus on the needs of Haji, instead of labeling them as vip or poor or illegal.
Haj was their right and the saudi govt should treat everyone the same regardless of their wealth.
First thing they go to perform Haj that's all so saudi govt categorized them as a rich, Vip / poor ? Treat everyone the same because they all go for same purpose and holy kabbah is not saudis property it's belongs to all Muslims.
So stop discrimination and treat everyone the same follow the sunnah of our beloved hazrat Muhammad PBUH.
