Indonesia will send its first flight of pilgrims for Hajj 2027 to Madinah on 11 April 2027. Pilgrims will enter the hajj dormitories a day earlier, on 10 April.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set the full travel plan. It covers dormitory entry, departure to Saudi Arabia, the main days of Hajj, and the return home.
The plan was issued through Decree No. 26 of 2026 by the Director General of Hajj Services. It covers Hajj 1448 AH, and the dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia.
Ministry Secretary General Teguh Dwi Nugroho spoke in Jakarta on Tuesday, 20 October 2026. “This travel schedule is a guide for all parties to coordinate planning, movement and services for pilgrims, so every stage can run in an orderly way,” he said.
Departure Schedule for Indonesian Pilgrims
Departures run for 30 days, split into two waves of 15 days each.
The first wave flies from Indonesia to Madinah between 11 April and 25 April 2027. The second wave flies to Jeddah between 26 April and 10 May 2027.
Pilgrims will stay in Saudi Arabia for an average of 38 to 40 days.
Hajj Dates and Return Flights
Pilgrims will start moving from Makkah to Arafah on 14 May 2027. Wukuf at Arafah is on 15 May, and Eid al-Adha falls on 16 May. The Days of Tashreeq follow from 17 to 19 May.
Return flights also run for 30 days in two waves of 15 days each. The first wave leaves from Makkah through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, starting 21 May 2027. These pilgrims will land in Indonesia between 21 May and 4 June.
The second wave leaves from Madinah through Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport, starting 5 June 2027. These pilgrims will land in Indonesia between 5 June and 20 June.
