Madinah Conference 2026: 30+ Muftis, 54 Speakers Attend

Islamic University hosts a two-day event on Saudi efforts against intellectual deviations, with a Ministry exhibit.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance is taking part in the international Madinah conference “Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Confronting Intellectual Deviations.”

The Islamic University of Madinah is organising the event, which began on 27 September 2026 (Madinah, 17 Rabi Al-Thani 1448 AH). Government bodies and academic institutions are also taking part.

Who Is Attending the Madinah Conference

More than 30 muftis and 54 speakers from 34 nationalities are attending. Scholars, researchers and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom are among them. The conference runs for two days and has nine scientific sessions.

The sessions cover how to confront intellectual deviations and look at the Kingdom’s experiences and programmes for raising awareness and protecting people from harmful ideas.

What the Ministry Is Showing at the Exhibit

The Ministry has an information booth at the exhibition alongside the conference. It presents the Ministry’s programmes inside and outside the Kingdom.

These cover spreading religious awareness, promoting moderation, strengthening intellectual security and warning against extremism and deviant ideas.

King Fahd Complex Quran Printing on Display

The booth also shows the Kingdom’s care for the Holy Quran. It presents the work of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, including how the Quran is printed, cared for, distributed and translated.

Visitors to the booth are receiving 300 copies of the complex’s publications, given as a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Digital Apps at the Ministry Booth

The booth presents three digital tools:

Rushd app: offers a digital Quran, prayer times, Qibla direction and a multilingual Islamic e-library.
“Correct Citation” app: checks how Quran and Sunnah texts are written and lets users search them through trusted databases.
Hajj and Umrah training app: a 3D, multilingual virtual guide that simulates the rituals in a simple, interactive way.
