Another Aerial Threat Alert Issued in Makkah Al Mukarramah

Another aerial threat alert was issued in Makkah Al Mukarramah at 1:25 PM on 24 September 2026, telling residents and visitors to shelter in place.
Civil Defense said the danger had passed at 1:36 PM and asked people not to gather or film.
An aerial alert was also published earlier in September.

Another emergency alert about a hostile aerial threat was issued in Makkah Al Mukarramah on 24 September 2026. The alert went out at 1:25 PM. It told residents and visitors in the city to shelter in place until the danger had passed.

Civil Defense Says the Danger Has Passed in Makkah

Eleven minutes later, at 1:36 PM, Civil Defense sent a new message saying the danger had passed in Makkah Al Mukarramah city. It asked people to keep following Civil Defense instructions for their own safety.

The message also told people to avoid gathering and filming. In an emergency, people can call 911.

This is not the first aerial threat alert published in September. Another one was published earlier in the month, which makes today’s alert the second this month.

What Residents and Visitors in Makkah Should Do:

Shelter in place when an alert tells you to, until the danger has passed.
Follow Civil Defense instructions.
Do not gather in groups or film.
Call 911 in an emergency.
