How UK Pilgrims Book Hajj

The UK falls under the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s Direct Hajj Programme. Hajj packages and visas for British pilgrims are arranged through Nusuk Hajj rather than bought directly from a travel agent in the way a holiday would be.

On the platform, pilgrims create an account, complete verification, browse packages offered by authorised service providers and pay through the system itself.

The Ministry makes clear that Nusuk Hajj is the only approved route for countries in the programme, and that packages and visas cannot come from outside websites, unofficial agents, social media sellers or private arrangements.

The Council of British Hajjis puts it simply: if someone asks for payment outside the platform, treat that as a serious warning sign.

Where UK Agencies Still Fit In

Established UK operators are not cut out of the process, though their role has changed. Instead of selling the pilgrimage outright, reputable agencies now guide pilgrims through registration, help with documentation and eligibility, arrange flights from regional airports, and provide scholarly guidance and group support.

So when people search for Hajj packages for 2027 from the UK, what they are really looking for is an authorised package selected on the platform, backed by a UK team that supports them through it.

The alternative offered by less scrupulous sellers is not a bargain — it is a scam.

The Timeline To Work To

Checking that an agency has a genuine trading history, a real address and proper protection for flight bookings is worth the time. Asking a local mosque who they have used is often the most reliable check of all.
