Umrah Pilgrims Must Book Nusuk Service Package for Every Visit

Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says a valid multiple-entry visa does not remove the need to book a package and permit for each trip.

Select Language:
  • Every visit on a multiple-entry Umrah visa needs a service package booked through Nusuk
  • The visa is valid for 365 days, with a total stay of up to 90 days
  • An Umrah permit must be obtained through the Nusuk app before travelling

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has told pilgrims holding multiple-entry Umrah visas to follow its rules on booking service packages with licensed Umrah providers.

In a post on its X account, the ministry said visa validity does not free pilgrims from booking the other required services.

What the Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa Offers

The ministry launched the multiple-entry Umrah visa last July.

It allows holders to enter the Kingdom as many times as they want within 365 days from the date of issue, with a total stay of up to 90 days across the visa’s validity.

The visa was brought in to make the journey easier and give pilgrims more flexibility when planning visits and performing Umrah.

Service Package Rules for Each Visit

Using the visa requires buying a service package from an approved provider through the Nusuk system for each visit.

The package duration cannot be longer than the time remaining on the visa.

All pilgrims must follow the regulations covering the length of the programmes and services provided to them.

Umrah Permit and Entry Requirements

Entering the Kingdom on the visa requires an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before arrival.

The permit dates must match the dates of the approved service package. Pilgrims must also meet all travel and entry eligibility requirements.

How the First Visit Works

The process for the initial visit starts with buying a service package from one of the providers on the Nusuk platform.

The pilgrim then submits a visa application and completes processing with the relevant authorities.

Travel eligibility is checked before boarding the aircraft. Entry details are recorded on arrival and updated at departure, including a calculation of the remaining stay period.
