In the midst of the solemnity of the Umrah ritual, two Umrah pilgrims wearing ihram clothes were seen fighting inside Masjid Al Haram.
A video went viral on social media after it shows a fight between two men wearing ihram clothes inside Masjid Al Haram in Makkah on Thursday, April 7.
It is not clear what was the reason the two Umrah pilgrims decided to resort to violence in the midst of the solemn Umrah rituals during the holy month of Ramadan.
In the video, it is also seen that several other worshippers try to intervene and resolve disputes between the two congregations whose identities are not known. Shortly after the dispute began, the Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah Security who noticed the crowds of pilgrims immediately took action to mediate the dispute.
As reported by Gulf Today, the Saudi Arabian security service which later released a statement regarding the incident said that the Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah Security had taken action against the two people involved in a dispute inside Masjid Al Haram. Although the dispute did not result in any injuries, legal action was taken against them.
It added that the Special Forces called for the safety of Hajj and Umrah in order to achieve serenity and solemnity during the performance of Umrah, praying in the Two Holy Mosques and glorifying rituals of Allah during the holy month of Ramadan.
On the same occasion, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also announced that holders of all types of visas have now been allowed to enter the Kingdom to perform Umrah.
It is very unfortunate that such an incident had to happen in a holy place, where Muslims from around the world come to perform Umrah and Hajj, especially during the Holy month of Ramadan.
It should not be imitated and if you find yourself in a similar position try to be patient and remember to never use violence in solving a problem.
