As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Saudi Arabia has officially opened Umrah bookings for the first two weeks via the Nusuk app.

The first day of Ramadan is expected to begin on March 1, 2025, and the Nusuk app is designed to streamline the booking process for pilgrims.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reported that the congestion indicator on the booking page has shown moderate reservations for the opening day.

However, there has been a noticeable increase in bookings for the first two Fridays of Ramadan, while reservations for other days remain relatively low.

This trend reflects the traditional peak in Umrah activity during Ramadan, as many Muslims flock to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to engage in prayers and rituals.

The Nusuk app serves as a comprehensive platform for pilgrims, simplifying various aspects of their journey.

Users can create an account, select their preferred dates and times, and book permits for both Umrah and visits to significant religious sites. The app also provides real-time updates on prayer times, crowd levels, and essential travel information.

The app’s user-friendly interface makes it accessible for both local and international visitors wishing to perform Umrah.
