Sheikh Abdur Rahman Al-Sudais, president of the Two Holy Mosques’ affairs, will lead the special Laylatul Qadr supplications at Masjid Al Haram on the night of 27th of Ramadan.
The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia finalizes Taraweeh prayer schedules for over two million expected worshipers during Ramadan 1446 AH (2025).
While seven imams rotate Taraweeh duties throughout the month, Al-Sudais’ selection for the 27th night’s closing dua highlights its significance.
Sheikh Sudais, known for his emotive recitations during Hajj and past Laylatul Qadr events, will lead prayers after Sheikh Yasir Dawsary completes the evening’s 27th Taraweeh session.
Authorities confirmed enhanced crowd management systems and expanded prayer zones around the Grand Mosque to accommodate unprecedented attendance.
Worshipers all around the world can see it live on YouTube as well.
