Saudi Arabia has expanded its transit visa to now allow travelers to perform Umrah and visit the Rawdah Sharifah in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al Nabawi) with ease.

This update aims to facilitate religious activities for visitors passing through the kingdom.

How To Get a Saudi Transit Visa

Travelers can avail themselves of this opportunity by following straightforward steps.

Firstly, they need to apply for a transit visa via the Saudi Visa Platform at ksavisa.sa. Once approved, travelers can choose any Saudi air carrier for their journey.

The benefits of this transit visa are manifold. It is available immediately and free of charge upon flight booking, valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and permits a stay of up to 96 hours. Additionally, it allows for freedom of movement between different cities within Saudi Arabia.

To fully utilize the transit visa for religious purposes, it is essential for travelers to obtain the necessary permit for Umrah and prayer at Rawdah Sharifah. This can be done through the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps immediately upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

This initiative enhances convenience for travelers wishing to engage in religious activities during their transit, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to facilitating pilgrimages and religious tourism.
