Online Registration and Guidelines for Saudi Citizens for Hajj 2024

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has outlined the requirements, registration process, steps, and conditions for the Hajj 2024 season for Saudi Citizens.

As per the recent announcement made by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, online registrations have started for the citizens and residents who intend to participate in the annual Islamic pilgrimage for the year 2024.

How to Apply for Hajj 2024?

The registration process for Hajj 2024 is now facilitated by the website or the Nusuk application available for smartphones and tablets. When registering, the applicant has the option to pay the whole amount in one go or in parts.

The app contains packages and their details, to help an individual choose the one that suits their preferences and budget.

The packages differ in accommodation quality and location, as well as transport costs. All the package prices include value-added tax (VAT) but do not include transportation costs to and from Makkah by land or air.

To apply for Hajj 2024 via Nusuk App or Website, kindly follow these steps:

  • Open the Nusuk app or the website and create your account. If you already have an account you can proceed with the sign-in option.
  • Select reservation under local Hajj services.
  • View the packages and their details.
  • Accept the terms and conditions.
  • Add a companion or a mahram in the section specified.
  • Choose a Hajj package and enter your bank data.
  • Choose the option of full or partial payment and proceed.

After your reservation is confirmed you will receive a text message on the registered phone number.

Booking Priority and Conditions

The ministry has also specified the booking priority and conditions for the Hajj season. The conditions state that the applicant applying for Hajj must be at least 15 years of age and must have a valid Saudi national ID/residency permit during the month of Dhul-Hijjah.

As per the outlines stated priority will be given to the individuals who have not performed Hajj in their lifetime. Moreover, the applicant must fulfill all the health requirement which includes vaccinations of meningitis and seasonal influenza, certified by a health certificate.

Applicants can add a mahram or companions to the reservation, subject to some important conditions:

  • The mahram or companions must be citizens or residents, and they are exempt from the condition of precedence for Hajj.
  • If a female citizen wishes to perform Hajj with a mahram, she can do so with one of her first-degree relatives or the man who is affiliated to her in her Iqama every five years, in accordance with the instructions. However, the maximum limit of companions is 14.

Payment Options and Other Instructions

The ministry has also explained the payment options and instructions for the Hajj reservations.

As per the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, the payment for the Hajj slots will be made electronically only through the SADAD system.

Moreover, autonomy is given to the applicants to decide whether they want to pay the full amount or if they want to pay in three installments. However, a down payment of 20% must be paid within 72 hours from the date of booking. The second payment can be paid latest by 20/9/1445 which is 40% while the third payment of 40% can be paid no later than 20/10/1445. To maintain transparency separate invoices are issued for each payment.

The reservation status will only change to confirmed after the third payment. The permit is issued by the Ministry of Interior, and the applicant must print the Hajj permit.

How to Check the Status of Your Reservation?

To check the status of the reservation one can follow the steps below:

  • Upon completion of the reservation process, the applicant will receive a text message on the registered phone number.
  • The applicant can also check the status by logging in to the Booking Portal or the Nusuk app, and choosing “Reservation Inquiry”.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has also clarified the reservation for the Hajj season will be confirmed only when the information of the applicant and his companions is accurate and consistent with government data and the reservation is confirmed and the payments are paid on time.

The scheduled time of Hajj 2024 is set for July and depends on the sighting of the moon.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has urged the citizens to apply for Hajj immediately if they intend to perform the annual pilgrimage.

The Ministry has requested all individuals to follow the instructions and guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth procedure.
