MAKKAH – The new look of the Grand Mosque expansion has been unveiled. In a video shared online, it can be seen that all the ways to Masjid al-Haram will undergo a significant change.
Throughout the year, Saudi Arabia welcomes millions of pilgrims who come to the Kingdom to perform the pilgrimage, Umrah.
The main reason for the expansion is to accommodate the pilgrims who stay in the Kingdom to perform Umrah or Hajj. To make their stay more comfortable, the Saudi Arabian government is taking quick measures to provide world-class services.
As you can see, the future model of Masjid al-Haram shows many hotels being built around the Kaaba and the roads leading directly to the Grand Mosque.
Construction is currently underway around the mosque to accommodate the expansion project. The expansion is part of Saudi Vision 2030, so it’s more likely that we’ll see the model become a reality in 2030.
