Malaysia
Malaysia is ready to greet Eid with open arms on 10th April 2024. The Malaysian Housing Ministry confirmed the news.
“Hari Raya Aidilfitri” is the name given to this Eid in Malaysian culture. The Muslims of Malaysia celebrate Eid with lights and ornaments. The highways are packed with traffic as it is a time of family gatherings.
The festivities usually span two days. Cultural dresses are appreciated. Men wear ‘Baju Melayu’ and women are seen in ‘Baju Kurung’.
The prayer of Eid is offered with full enthusiasm. Muslims in Malaysia celebrate Eid with full of zeal.
Indonesia
The moon for Eid al-Fitr has been sighted in Indonesia. IDX Channel confirmed Eid to be on 10th April 2024. The moon of Shawwal marks the end of Ramadan.
The Indonesian people celebrate Eid by preparing special meals and sweets. People move from cities to celebrate the festival with families in the village.
They perform the Sungkeman ritual as well. In this ritual, they ask Allah for forgiveness. Gifts are exchanged and elderly people are visited.
Eid is a joyous occasion for the country.
Along with Malaysia and Indonesia, several other countries will be celebrating Eid al-Fitr tomorrow. These include Morocco, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, and Bahrain.
