Doritos products that are spread in countries such as South Africa and Indonesia have obtained halal verification from local Muslim organizations.
However, PepsiCo (owner of the Doritos brand) confirmed that Doritos products in non-Muslim majority countries such as UK, USA and Canada have not been labeled halal due to several the variant that lists “cheese” and “whey” as ingredients which mean it contains animal enzymes so it is not halal.

Is It Safe For Muslims To Eat?
It is safe for Muslims to only consume Doritos variants which are completely free from any animal fat or other animal-based ingredients, such as the Doritos Spicy Sweet Chilli flavour.
