The area around the Holy Makkah is cleaned, perfumed and sterilised before every salah call (Prayer call) as per the presidency of affairs for both holy mosques.
Hassan Al Zowiahri said that before each salah every day, the area called Hijr Ismail, as well as the whole area around the holy Makkah gets cleaned, it includes Al Multazim (the are between the Kaaba door and the black stone) are also sterilised by disinfected perfumed and cleaned.
Hassan Al-Zowiahri of the presidency said that cleaning starts at Hijr Ismail and covered the whole area around the Kaaba and continues towards Al Multazim.

Hassan Al-Zowiahri of the presidency said that cleaning is divided into two phases, first one is the sterilisation of the Mataf, Al Multazim, Al Yamani (right hand corner), Al Rukn and to the black stone. The Second phase including the perfuming of all of these places.
He further explained that they use Special Perfume made for Black Stone. And they perfumed it 15 minutes before each prayer.
He said we empty the area with the help of Saudi security forces from the people doing Tawaf, then we do it. Because we do not want to cause trouble to all the Pilgrims.
Moreover, they vacuums the place first before cleaning and perfuming the entire area.
And he also said that the cleaning process does not stop, it goes on for day and night without any kind of delay. And to keep the area cleaned and to make it germs and bacteria free.
