Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has taken regulatory action against four Umrah companies and four external agents for housing Umrah pilgrims in facilities that do not hold a licence. The ministry shared the details in a tweet.
The companies have been suspended and referred to the Committee for Reviewing Pilgrims’ Complaints. The committee will investigate them and impose statutory penalties.
The ministry listed one violation: placing Umrah pilgrims in accommodation that is not licensed.
