A Houthi militia attack targeted the “Taiba” electricity distribution station in Madinah Al-Munawwarah early on September 29, according to the spokesperson for the Saudi-led Coalition forces.
Coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said the attack took place at 5:11 a.m. on Tuesday. An operational review and examination of debris from the drone used in the attack, according to the statement, established the involvement of the Houthi militia in planning and carrying out the attack.

The attack caused one electricity transformer to be taken out of service. However, the coalition said the wider electricity network was not affected.
The targeted facility provides electricity services to Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah Al-Munawwarah, according to the coalition statement. The spokesperson described the incident as part of continued attempts by the Houthi militia to target civilian infrastructure in Makkah and Madinah.

The coalition said it would continue taking measures to counter threats from the Houthi militia and protect the Two Holy Mosques and visitors to Makkah and Madinah.
