Pakistan: Umrah Vaccine Deadline Extended to October 10

Five NADRA facilitation desks are now available at the Karachi Airport dispensary. Vaccination services at the Jacob Lines dispensary are expected to start next week.
Digital vaccination certificates are now being issued to Umrah pilgrims and other people travelling abroad. Karachi has few vaccination facilities, and the Federal Dispensary near the Old Terminal is handling a large number of travellers.
The space there is limited, which has led to overcrowding and long waits. Some passengers said they arrived as early as 8am and were still waiting for their certificates, even though their international flights were only hours away.
How to Register for the Certificate
Travellers must register through the NADRA Pak ID application. Those going abroad can also register at NADRA e-Sahulat centres. Influenza and meningitis vaccines are still compulsory for Umrah pilgrims.
Why the Certificates Are Digital
The federal government has linked the vaccination system with NADRA and moved certificates to a digital format to stop fake documents.
The Health Ministry advises travellers to visit a vaccination centre about 10 days before departure. Passengers and pilgrims have asked for more centres and better facilities.
