On Friday, Al Nassr announced that Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-year contract with the club.

During an explosive TV interview last month, Ronaldo said he felt betrayed by Manchester United and didn’t respect manager Erik ten Hag. He left Old Trafford last month.

The Saudi club quoted Ronaldo saying, “I’m excited to play football in a new league. Al Nassr Club’s vision is very inspiring.”.

Previously, he played for Real Madrid from 2009-18, winning two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League titles, and three Club World Cups.

In his career, he scored 451 goals for Real and more than 800 senior goals overall.

At Juventus, Ronaldo won two Serie A titles and a Copa Italia before returning to United. He won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the Champions League, and Club World Cup.

In Portugal’s opening game against Ghana, he became the first player to score in five World Cups after netting a penalty. The Portuguese got knocked out by Morocco in the quarterfinals.

As one of the game’s great current players alongside Lionel Messi, Ronaldo said Qatar would probably be his last World Cup.
