Lars Thorsen, Anti-Islam Extremist Car Crash Minutes After Burning Quran

Lars Thorsen Car Crash

OSLO (NORWAY) – Minutes after burning a Quran outside Oslo, the leader of an anti-Islamic Norwegian group was involved in a spectacular car chase and collision.

Two people have been arrested in Norway, including the driver of a car that deliberately rammed the SUV of Lars Thorsen, leader of the radical group “Stop the Islamization of Norway.” (SIAN).

Among the five passengers in the SUV, one was hospitalized, police said.

According to a video posted on Facebook, Thorsen and other activists first drove to Mortensrud, a Muslim-populated suburb of Oslo.

After placing the Quran on fire, the activists initially managed to push back locals who tried to put it out.

Angry witnesses gathered, including a woman who climbed into a gray Mercedes and grabbed the charred book.

An SUV painted in camouflage livery left the scene after the anti-Islam activists left. Eventually, the Mercedes overtook it and hit it lightly before slamming into it at speed, causing it to overturn.

Someone followed the car throughout the whole episode.

A gunman killed two people in Oslo’s central district a week ago, wounding 21 others.

According to Norway’s domestic intelligence service, the attack was an act of Islamist terrorism.

Far-right anti-Islam activists in Scandinavia have made it a specialty to burn Qurans in Muslim neighborhoods.
