Data Analytics for Planning

Data Analytics for Planning

The Ministry uses advanced analytics, AI and pattern recognition to study Hajj and Umrah trends, pilgrim behavior and preferences, and supply and demand.

Predictive analytics forecast pilgrim arrival and departure times, length of stay, and related trends, helping the Ministry plan and prepare early.

Managing Movement and Transport

Managing Movement and Transport

On the operational side, the Ministry uses algorithms to manage pilgrim movement and grouping (tafweej).

This includes analyzing crowd movement, predicting peak times, and studying bus movement to improve transport routes between the holy sites. These tools support operational decisions during the Hajj season.

Nusuk AI Answers Pilgrim Questions

Nusuk AI is one of the Ministry’s AI-based services for pilgrims. It provides information and guidance on Hajj, Umrah and visiting the holy sites, and answers pilgrim questions directly.

Digital Mutawwif Guides Pilgrims Step by Step

The Ministry also offers the Digital Mutawwif service through the Nusuk app. It acts as a smart companion for pilgrims during their rituals, using spatial AI to understand a pilgrim’s location, movement and journey in real time.

It directs pilgrims to the best routes and floors, counts Tawaf and Sa’i circuits automatically, and shows guidance and duas suited to each stage of the ritual.

The service recorded more than 2 million uses in one month, and more than 1.4 million pilgrims completed their Tawaf and Sa’i digitally through it.

AI Ethics Mark from SDAIA

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently received the AI Ethics Mark from the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) for the Nusuk AI service. The mark reflects the Ministry’s commitment to the responsible and trustworthy use of AI technologies as it continues to develop services and support decision-making for pilgrims.
