Who is Ali (RA) _ - All About Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA) was Muhammad (PBUH)’s great companion, cousin, and Son in law. He gave his life for the cause of Islam and spread the words of knowledge.

Who is Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)?

Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) was born on 13 Rajab 21 BH (15 September ACE 601), and he was born inside Kaaba (The House of Allah). He was the first cousin of Muhammad (PBUH) as well as the son-in-law of Muhammad (PBUH), he was married to the daughter of Muhammad (PBUH), Fatimah Zahra (RA). As per the Sunni view, he was the 4th Caliph of Islam, while Shia Muslims call him the first Caliph of Islam.

The book Nahjul Balagha – the Peak of eloquence, this book is a collection of Addresses, sayings, and pieces of advice given by Ali (RA) which Shia and Sunni label as an authentic book. He was also the youngest person to accept Islam.

And his sayings still astonish the world even after passing over 1400 years!

Sword of Ali (RA)

The name of his sword was Zulfiqar which was given to him by Muhammad (PBUH) in the battle of Uhud. It was presented by Angel Jibraeel after an order from Allah.

These words were spoken by Muhammad (PBUH) in the battle of Uhud after giving him his sword. Hussain (RA) used this same sword to protect his family in the battle of Karbala.

Muhammad told Fatimah, “I have married you to the dearest of my family to me.”

In the initial stage, they were poor. Fatimah Zahra (RA) used to do the household work, while, He (RA) used to do the outside work and arrange the food. As well as, the stuff gathered after the Battle of Khyber was distributed among the poor.

He was the father of Hassan (RA) and Hussain (RA), the masters of youngsters in Jannah.

Death

Kharjitte Abd-Al-Rahman Ibn Muljam martyred him on the 21st Ramadan 661 AD in the Great Mosque of Kufa during the Fajr prayers.
