The latest thermal cameras have been installed all over Masjid al-Haram as a part of the preparation of Umrah resumption from 4th October, according to Saudi authorities.

The installation process was headed by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz al-Sudais who is the General Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques.

Saudi Arabia also announced that they’re resuming the Umrah in a three-phased process. Pilgrims can perform Umrah from 4th October while International pilgrims can visit from 1st November, except India as the flights from India to Saudi Arabia have been banned, announced by the Ministry of Interior.

The General Presidency taking important steps to ensure the health safety of the pilgrims rejoining the mosque for Umrah after a long lockdown.

What does these Thermal Cameras do in Masjid al Haram?

These Thermal cameras will monitor the body temperature of all the pilgrims and visitors visiting the Masjid al-Haram. It will trigger authorities to handle the cases instantly, if someone has a fever, these thermal cameras will prompt the authorities to get the person checked.
