This year’s festival highlights a diverse lineup of vendors, chefs, and food stalls, showcasing cuisines from countries like Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, and Indonesia.
Organizers are also focused on supporting local businesses, offering prime spots to smaller, artisanal food producers through the “Local Flavors” section, giving them a platform to reach a wide audience.
Waleed Jahangir, the event’s director, spoke about the growing global demand for halal-certified products. “The interest in ethical, sustainable, and high-quality food is drawing not just Muslim consumers, but people from all backgrounds to halal options,” he explained.
The festival will also feature interactive discussions through panels, creating a space for conversations about food, culture, and community.
A new addition this year is the Celebrity Chef Cookery Theatre, hosted by Shelina Permalloo of ITV’s “Cooking with the Stars,” alongside other top chefs. Celebrities like Nadiya Hussain, Big Zuu, and Netflix actors are expected to make appearances.
Additionally, the festival has expanded its family-friendly options with a larger children’s zone and bazaar.
In collaboration with Our Future Health, a mobile health clinic will be available for attendees to participate in health research and receive checkups. The event runs from September 28 to 29.
