A mosque was damaged after a projectile fired by the Houthi militia struck Al-Tuwal governorate in Saudi Arabia’s Jazan region on Saturday, September 12, 2026 (04 Muharram 1448 AH), Civil Defense said.

The projectile hit the area, damaging the mosque along with other buildings and vehicles nearby. Two people were injured. Civil Defense teams responded and carried out the procedures set for such incidents.

The spokesperson said targeting civilian sites, including mosques, is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
