JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia has ordered that women under 45 years of age accompany a male guardian while performing Hajj, according to The Islamic Information.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has issued a notification requiring women under 45 years of age to travel with a male guardian while performing Hajj.
According to the notification, women coming for Hajj alone will be deported on the same flight.
According to the notification, women under the age of 45 will not be permitted to board Hajj flights unless accompanied by their male guardians listed on their Hajj visa. When this occurs, women will be deported together with their male guardians. Cost-related matters will be the full responsibility of air careers.”
According to GACA, any airline failing to follow the guidelines will be held responsible and legal action will be taken.
