Taraweeh 2024 prayers in the Two Holy Mosques will be 10 Rakats only.
In the recent update regarding the Taraweeh prayers at the Two Holy Mosques (Masjid Al Haram and Masjid An Nabawi).
Format of Taraweeh Prayers
It has been announced that the Taraweeh prayers will consist of 5 Taslims followed by the Witr Prayer. Ten Rakats of Taraweeh are followed by three Rakats of Witr are shown in this structure. The Taraweeh prayers will begin at 8:00 PM and conclude at 10:00 PM. Prayers will be held at the Masjid Al Haram and Masjid An Nabawi.
It has also been stated that attendance is limited to only those who have been vaccinated.
Other than this the arrangement of Imam Pairs in Masjid Al Haram has been delineated:
- Sheikh Juhany and Sheikh Sudais: They will lead congregational prayers together, sharing the responsibility of leading worshippers during Taraweeh prayers.
- Sheikh Mehar and Sheikh Bandar Baleelah: During the blessed month of Ramadan, another pair is designated to lead Taraweeh prayers, which ensure the spiritual needs of the worshipers are met.
- Sheikh Juhany and Sheikh Bandar Baleelah: Combining these Imams highlights the collaborative effort to conduct congregational prayers and uphold Taraweeh traditions.
This structured arrangement of Taraweeh prayers and the allocation of Imam pairs signify the meticulous planning and organization to ensure that worshippers have the opportunity to observe Ramadan rituals with devotion and reverence at the Two Holy Mosques.
The Taraweeh prayers are held every night during Ramadan at the Two Holy Mosques and are arranged so that worshippers are able to pray according to their preferred time and location.
The Imam pairs are carefully selected to ensure that all worshippers are provided with an imam to guide them through the prayers.
