HARYANA (INDIA): A Muslim man was kidnapped and beaten to death in the Haryana state of India. Asif was returning home after buying medicines.
Asif’s family confirmed that Asif lynched him right after being forced to chant Jai Shri Ram (a Hindu slogan). Two cousins of Asif were also injured in the lynching.
Haryana police called it a family issue and did not term it as a hate crime. Maktoob Khan, Asif’s uncle, said they abuse Asif and his cousins before killing him.
