Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa has been appointed Khateeb of Hajj 1443 (2022) by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He will deliver the Hajj Khutbah on Friday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1443 from Masjid Al Namirah, Arafat.

To raise global awareness about Islam’s true message of empathy, understanding, and cooperation, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading voices on moderate Islam.
Dr. Al-Issa is the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, a Makkah-based nonprofit organization representing Muslims worldwide. Additionally, he heads the Saudi Defense Ministry’s Intellectual Warfare Center, which combats extremist and terrorist ideologies.
Dr. Al-Issa has received numerous national and international awards as a leader in promoting interreligious dialogue and moderation and fighting extremism and hate speech.
In August 2016, Dr. Al-Issa was appointed Secretary-General of the Muslim World League. He also joined Saudi Arabia’s Senior Scholars Organization and became Chairman of the International Body of Muslim Scholars.
This February 2022, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of the Maldives, Mr. Ibrahim Saleh, in an official celebration attended by senior officials, conferred the Order of Honor on Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa in recognition of his contributions to Islamic unity and world peace.
Dr. Al-Issa has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia as Secretary-General, meeting with dignitaries, parliamentarians, and faith-based and community leaders.
