Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly, imam and khateeb of Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque), has been promoted to the rank of Professor in the field of Fiqh. The decision came from the President of Umm Al-Qura University.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs at Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) and Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque), congratulated Sheikh Dr. Al-Muaiqly on the promotion.
He spoke on his own behalf and on behalf of the imams, khateebs, muezzins and teachers of the Two Holy Mosques, along with staff of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
Al-Sudais prayed for Al-Muaiqly to continue his academic and scholarly work in service of Islamic knowledge, the mission of the Two Holy Mosques, and the spread of moderation.
He also prayed that Al-Muaiqly’s knowledge and work would be blessed, and that it would benefit Islam and Muslims.
