Saudia Group has set out its most ambitious Hajj plan to date, expanding its end-to-end pilgrimage packages for Hajj 2026 to serve 4,200 pilgrims from 43 countries — a 300% jump from the previous year.
The growth is backed by new facilities at the holy sites and a network of group companies delivering services across the full journey.
Six Group Companies, One Joined-Up Journey
Saudia Group is drawing on six entities within its wider network to deliver the packages. Saudia Hajj and Umrah will manage specialized pilgrim services and run an integrated operations center that tracks pilgrim movement across all stages.
Saudia Real Estate is building and managing facilities at the holy sites. Saudi Ground Services Co. will operate its “Luggage First” service, which separates baggage handling from the pilgrim’s movement.
CATRION will handle catering, and Medical Fakeeh will set up and run fully equipped medical clinics on the ground.
Amer Alkhushail, Chief Executive Officer of Saudia Hajj and Umrah, said the operations center would be central to service delivery:
“The integrated operations center will serve as a central platform for connecting pilgrim data with the relevant stakeholders throughout the journey. By improving visibility, coordination, and response capabilities, the center will support faster decision-making and a more seamless Hajj experience, allowing pilgrims to move through each stage with greater confidence and peace of mind.”
Support Starts Before Departure
Services begin in pilgrims’ home countries, with dedicated teams active through the pre-travel phase, at departure airports, and on arrival in Saudi Arabia.
On the ground, pilgrims receive help with arrival procedures, visits to Al Rawdah Al Sharifah, Tawaf scheduling at Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque), and movement guidance throughout the holy sites.
For elderly pilgrims, Saudia Group has put in place dedicated support arrangements including golf carts and guided assistance at key points along the journey.
Digital tools will also be available for all pilgrims to plan schedules, manage movement between sites, and organize their activities — reducing logistical pressure so pilgrims can focus on their rituals.
New Facilities in Arafat and Mina
The most significant infrastructure investment is a new two-level facility in Arafat. Alkhushail said the facility improves space use, increases capacity, and offers a premium service environment.
The site takes its design cues from Saudia’s airport lounge standards, with integrated dining areas and 24-hour care services available throughout pilgrims’ stay.
In Mina, Saudia Group has expanded from one operational tower to three fully integrated towers. The towers are modeled on the design of Saudia’s First-Class cabin, with a focus on privacy, comfort, and efficient use of space.
The expansion allows pilgrims to be distributed more evenly across the site and reduces crowding during movement between stages.
