MAKKAH — Work has officially begun on establishing the tent camps in Mina for Hajj 2026. Teams from relevant authorities have started assembling the temporary city that will host millions of pilgrims during the sacred rites.
The setup process includes installing climate-controlled tents, reinforcing walkways, and positioning sanitation units across the designated zones. Emergency response stations, medical clinics, and hydration points are being integrated into the layout to support pilgrim well-being throughout their stay.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, alongside municipal and civil defense teams, introduced enhanced crowd management protocols and digital tracking tools to improve navigation and safety. Transportation routes, signage, and rest areas have been redesigned to reduce congestion and support elderly or mobility-challenged pilgrims.
All facilities undergo strict quality checks to meet health and security standards. Staff training programs have been rolled out for volunteers and service crews to ensure respectful, efficient assistance aligned with the spiritual nature of the pilgrimage.
