The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that this year’s Hajj Khutbah will be translated into 20 languages to accommodate pilgrims from around the world.

This year on Hajj 1446 (2025) the sermon will be given by Sheikh Salih Bin Humaid.

The sermon will be broadcast live with translations on multiple platforms, including The Islamic Information.

The supported languages include:

  1. Amharic
  2. Bengali
  3. Bosnian
  4. Chinese
  5. English
  6. Filipino
  7. French
  8. German
  9. Hausa
  10. Italian
  11. Malay
  12. Malayalam
  13. Persian/Farsi
  14. Portuguese
  15. Russian
  16. Spanish
  17. Swahili
  18. Swedish
  19. Turkish
  20. Urdu

This is an expansion from last year’s 10-language service. Translations will be available through FM radio channels, dedicated smartphone applications, and live interpretation services at the Grand Mosque.

The Islamic Information will provide live multilingual broadcasts of the Khutbah, allowing those unable to attend in person to follow along in their native languages.

Authorities have completed technical preparations to ensure seamless delivery of the translated content.

It is expected to benefit millions of pilgrims, particularly those who previously faced language barriers during this important religious occasion.

With Hajj 2025 preparations entering their final stages, this translation service represents one of several enhancements being implemented to improve the pilgrimage experience for international visitors.
