The director of Paris mosque known as Chemseddine Hafez and director of Lyon Mosque known as Kamel Kaptane also the director of Evry Mosque Khalil Maroun stated a joint statement which said that a negative message has been sent by the ministry of French food and agriculture to the majority Muslim community in the country.
In France, according to the new law from July 2021 and onwards the Islamic slaughter of poultry animals will be banned.
The joint statement also said that the three administrators did not receive any proper results when they conveyed their concerns to the relevant ministry.
The statement included that these precautions are seriously preventing Muslims from practicing their religion Freely and it further added that they have planned to take an important legal action to get back the fundamental right.
In France, this matter was discussed by Muslim leaders with the leaders of the Jewish community.
Campaign against halal meat in Europe.
Similar steps have been taken against halal meat in several countries like France and some other European countries like Belgium. Meanwhile, in Paris in a halal supermarket, local authorities have forced the selling of alcohol and pork products.
In Europe, it was argued by some animal activists that the Jewish kosher and Islamic halal rules for virtual slaughter are less humane as compared to normal European practice because they have banned the practice of Islam where before killing the animals they are stunned.
Moreover, some disagreements were also caused over which form of slaughter causes animals more pain and some arguments also occurred due to stunning guns because it is more painful than any other method of cutting the neck of an animal.
In the Holy book of Muslims, it is ordered to treat the animals gently.
The halal rite for slaughtering the animals requires killing the animal by slightly slitting its throat just like kosher slaughter.
In European Union Directive, it is not allowed in Muslim practice to stun it first so the pain can be less.
