Fire In The Courtyard of Al Masjid Al Haram

MAKKAH – A fire broke out in the courtyard of Al Masjid Al Haram at the Abraj Al Bait Complex.

UPDATE:

• FIRE IS NOW UNDER CONTROL, AND THERE HAS BEEN NO DAMAGE TO THE HOLY PLACE.

In the courtyard of Al Masjid Al Haram Makkah, the Civil Defense responded to a distress call about a fire that broke out at the Abraj Al Bait Complex. In a short period of time, they were able to extinguish the fire on the site.

There has been no damage done to this holy place in any way at all. As of yet, there is no clear explanation for how the fire started.
